Read their latest prayer letter or archived prayer letters. Daren became a missionary with World Impact after graduating from Moody Bible Institute. He joined the Wichita staff and moved into a house in the Oaklawn community on September 7, 1999. At that time, Tina was a junior in high school at Trinity Academy, and living with her parents, who were also World Impact missionaries. She graduated with honors and began her undergraduate studies at Wichita State University, where she later obtained a bachelors degree in Sociology. Daren and Tina struck up a friendship almost immediately, but did not begin dating until January of 2003. Daren remembers thinking that something had to be done when he was overcome with a desire to spend the rest of his life with Tina. By June, they were engaged, and celebrated their marriage on January 3, 2004 with nearly 600 family and friends at Westlink Christian Church in west Wichita. In 2005, Daren and Tina moved from Oaklawn after transitioning off the church plant team and now live about 1 mile west of the World Impact Village at 1441 N. Estelle. In June 2008 they were instrumental in starting the newest church plant, Christ the Victor. The church began in their basement and is now located at Central and Grove. In February 2009, Daren took on the role of Wichita Director. In addition, they welcomed their first child, Jackson Sean, on September 6, 2009.
